Precision in service of tenderness.
I am April Bogle, a registered nurse and coach in embodied nervous system capacity and integration. This is where the rigor of medicine meets the wisdom of the body.
I have sat with people at the very edge of what the mind can hold, and did not flinch. What I learned there became the ground this work stands on.
For over three decades in emergency medicine, my work was to be a steady nervous system beside people in their hardest moments. The bedside of someone who had just lost a partner of many years. The parent of a child we could not bring back. The person who arrived too late to say goodbye. I held that space, again and again, often while barely understanding my own dysregulation.
Over time I came to a different kind of education: learning to do that holding from a regulated body, not only a competent one. It is one thing to be skilled in a crisis. It is another to be settled enough inside yourself that your calm becomes something another person can borrow. That distinction changed how I practice, and eventually it changed what I wanted to offer.
Ohm Academy of Healing grew out of that. I built it because I believe steadiness is a skill the body can learn, and because I wanted to create genuinely safe environments for people doing this kind of work. Spaces where the container is sound and the person holding it knows what they are doing.

A grounded place to do real work.
This is coaching in nervous system capacity, held by someone who has spent a career keeping people steady under pressure.
This is not a clinic
There are no diagnoses here and no prescriptions. The work is capacity coaching and nervous system regulation, built on presence and on the skilled holding of your process.
Rooted in clinical experience
Over three decades in emergency medicine taught me what the body does under pressure, and what it actually takes to keep someone steady when everything around them is not. Safety is never an afterthought here.
Deep listening, steady care
Every session is built with the attention I would want for my own family. Your story matters, your nervous system matters, and the pace stays one your body can trust.
The principles underneath every session.
Safety first, always
We move at the pace your system can tolerate, so the work stays inside your window rather than overwhelming it.
The body leads
Your nervous system already knows how to return to steady. My role is to help it remember the way.
Precision in service of tenderness
The rigor of medicine and the wisdom of the body belong to the same practice. I hold both.
You are the healer
I do not fix you. I help you build the capacity to meet what once felt like too much and let it move through.
How we can work together.
Each path is the same practice at a different scale: building the capacity to stay present, so what once felt like too much can move through and settle.
Private Capacity Coaching
One to one work with your nervous system, at a pace it can trust, building the capacity to meet what once felt like too much and let it move through.
The Regulated Field™
A guided practice in staying present with an experience all the way through, so the body can complete what it started and let it settle.
Training and Consultation
Support for clinicians and coaches who want to bring nervous system regulation into their own rooms, with the rigor the work deserves.
The training is rigorous. The credentials are real.
Over three decades in emergency medicine taught me what a regulated room feels like, because I built one in the places where it mattered most.
